BooneOakley buys South End Building

BooneOakley has bought a 10,000 sq. ft. former factory in South End for the ad agency's new headquarters.

The facility, at 1445 S. Mint Street, was built in 1926 for a textile machinery manufacturer.

The move doubles BooneOakley's space to 8,000 sq. ft., with the remainder available for expansion. BooneOakley has been nearby at 101 W. Worthington Ave., since 2003.

The six-year-old firm employs 20, up from 6 staffers 3 years ago.

Clients include, Visit Charlotte, Bloom grocery stores, NASCAR, Carmax, as well as national cable network Speed, which recently rehired the firm. Capitalized billings for BooneOakley totaled $7.7 Million in 2005.

BooneOakley, which was represented by Bill Diehl of Diehl Properties, paid $2 million for the property.
